According to South Korean news reports, Samsung has transferred samples of its flexible panels to US manufacturers Apple and Google. The company hopes that the proprietary technology of folding displays will give impetus to the fastest popularization of this segment of the mobile industry.
If American companies are seriously interested in flexible displays and want to use them in their smartphones, the South Korean manufacturer will receive a large influx of funding in the form of orders for the manufacture of OLED-panels.
For greater clarity, Samsung can transfer all related parts and components to US manufacturers, including software, drivers and connectors.
For the sake of promoting folding devices, the South Korean manufacturer deliberately goes to the loss of exclusivity.
