The other day in Beijing was presented a unique 5G-modem manufactured by Huawei. The Balong 5000 delivers incredible data transfer speeds.
The modem can simultaneously support both non-autonomous and autonomous architectures, as well as work with 2G, 3G and 4G LTE. During testing, the new product demonstrated a speed of up to 6.5 Gbit / s in millimeter and up to 4.6 Gbit / s in the low frequency range.
5G-modem has a minimum delay and stable connection, and therefore can be used, for example, in onboard control systems of cars. Its efficiency is at least an order of magnitude higher than the most advanced LTE solutions can provide.
As part of the MWC 2019, Huawei, apparently, will show a mobile device based on Kirin 980 and a proprietary 5G modem.
